Private Lessons & Private Workshops

People book private lessons with us for a variety of reasons.  They're a great way to fast-track your dancing because you learn exactly what you want to learn, when you want to learn it.  With the benefit of the undivided attention of your teacher, you're not waiting for other people to catch up, and you're not learning figures that you're not so keen on.

Private lessons are useful if you've missed a few weeks and don't want to start back at the beginning again, and equally if you want to really improve your style or learn some wow-factor figures before the rest of your class - maybe there's a special occasion coming up where you just want to have maximum confidence.  Not only for American Jive, we also use private lessons to teach other styles of dance, and can cater for most partnered dance styles.

You'll normally find that you learn as much as around 3 weeks of open classes in each one-hour private lesson, as they are mainly tuition with little practice time.  Usually held at weekends in Burghfield or Tadley, we can take up to 3 couples at a time (all wishing to learn the same dance and moves), so if you can get a group of 6 together to make it into a private workshop, it makes the lesson very good value. Some weekday daytimes can also be arranged dependent on hall availability

Private lessons and private workshops for up to 3 couples - flat fee of £45 per one-hour session

Your Events

We are also available to come to your party or event and run a private workshop for your guests, with a dance demonstration and fun taster lesson to get the party going.  Contact us for more details.
